What you get

Who it is for

Adults 18 and older with symptoms of possible obstructive sleep apnea. No referral is needed. Available in Canadian provinces except Quebec. Coming soon to Quebec, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

Ontario residents: the Assistive Devices Program only funds CPAP after an in-lab (Level 1) sleep study, so a home test result on its own will not qualify you for ADP funding.

What happens after you order

1. NaviSleep emails you a short intake and consent form.
2. NaviSleep ships the test to you with a prepaid return label.
3. You sleep with the sensor for 7 nights, then send the device back.
4. A sleep physician interprets your recording, and a registered respiratory therapist goes through your results and next steps with you.

The diagnostic sleep-testing process usually takes 2–4 weeks, depending on when you start and complete your trial. When your results are ready, you need to book your results consultation; appointments are usually available within 1–3 business days.

Who provides the test

Your home sleep test is provided by NaviSleep Respiratory Solutions Inc. of Sackville, New Brunswick. Virtual Sleep Care collects your payment on NaviSleep’s behalf and passes it to NaviSleep.
